Another of thousands of unknown Orange
County based bands that came out of the independent scene there in the mid 1980s.
This band featured bassist Steve Price, brother of Doug Price, both of whom
were in another OC area based band, Zyniker. Monster
X though was much more a rock and roll band than Zyniker was, who were much
more dirge (Flipper, Joy Division) influenced. Other members included Steve
Belmonte on vocals, Brian Pringer on drums and Dan "Bone" Moses on
guitar. They existed from 1986 until 1992, but reformed for a few shows in 1994
and 1995.
