After the demise of Yummy, brother James (not one to settle down!) is back with another killer band of raw garage noisemakers. Their debut MT vinyl, and a scorcher it is. 1600 pressed, most on black vinyl, some on yellow, including some misspressings with a big hole.

Sinister Six was formed in 1992 by guitarist James Burdyshaw, formerly of 64 Spiders, Yummy and Catt Butt, the last two of which both have eMpTy 7" singles to their credit. Other members of Sinister Six included Doug White on vocals, Mark Ferkingstad on bass and Eric Hildahl on drums. Together their sound was the trademarked garage-rock sound Seattle is known for mixed with punk and a blues element. Besides their eMpTy releases, they also have a few 7"ers and another LP on Get Hip. They toured relentlessly, including a famed European tour in 1994 where James was heard by at least one reporter to claim that it was he who introduced Courtney Love to Kurt Cobain at a Nirvana show, thus cementing his small part in the fame of the legendary Seattle music scene.

Releases:

This great little album was released in May 1994, to coincide with the Sinister Six 1994 European tour. It contains mostly new tracks, as well as a few older tracks that were originally released on the Pugit Power IV sampler and the B-side of the MT-187 single. This record was mastered as a 10", but the record was pressed as a 12", so there is a one inch "grab margin" around the edge of the record! 500 copies only. An unauthorized, bootleg version was released in 1995 by Bag Of Hammers.

Sinister Six doesn't write songs very fast, so that makes this, their first full length effort, especially special. Pressed as a CD in both USA and Germany, vinyl pressed only in the USA, this fine release, in all its forms and formats, has a beautiful full color cover (inside and out!) of six beautiful beauties (not the band unfortunately, since so many of you have asked). Produced at Egg with Conrad Uno
